There were more locals there than tourist and most of the items for sell were fruits and vegetables. We did find the a wide variety of spices, packaged for gifts.

I am hooked on markets and visit them whenever I travel. The market square in St. George's did not disappoint. I was able to purchase all my spice as well as some souvenirs and enjoyed every minute of my visit.

This was a fun place to go to buy spices. Also local food and beverages. Busiest on Friday and Saturday. Remember to pay in EC dollars so you don't over pay.

Seems to be fully open when there is a cruise in port and passengers with dollars spilling out to spend, typical array of spice sellers, tourist tat, as would be expected, found some reasonable priced local paintings and that was our souvenir. Found parking back...More

Very interesting to see but only as a part of discovering the beautiful St Georges as a whole. The market itself is busy on Saturday but is mainly produce especially fruit. It does not merit more than just a short walk around and seemed to...More

We visited on a weekday and many of the stalls were closed. They seemed to have spices, wooden gifts, tee shirts & such. Vendors were pretty pushy, nice but it took a number of polite "no thank you"s for anyone to stop trying to sell...More
