Went here when visiting Grenada on our cruise. It is well worth a visit now that it has been restored to former glories.

since our last trip to Grenada in 2015 the roof is now back on this elegant building, which was almost destroyed in teh great hurricane. Unfortunately entrance is still not possible as restoration is still underway.

Finally the church has a brand new roof. Well worth a visit, very beautiful but easier to find if you dont look for a roofless church!

The once beautiful Anglican Church, set high up on the hill near Fort George, is finally being renovated after a mere 12 year wait. It's been a frustrating sight since Hurricane Ivan - I would have given the reconstruction of the building a top national priority - but the roof is on and windows are in. It can now go... More

We visited this place last year when it was, frankly, a complete mess. This year, really nice to see this restoration project going well, We went in & spent some time with the Project Manager (his name is Husband - lovely guy) who gave us an impromptu tour of the works taking place. Funding is an issue as the church... More

Early in 2016 work began at last on the restoration. Since the church was destroyed by Hurricane Ivan in 2004, the parish has concentrated on restoring its smaller churches in the outlying parts of the parish. Work is well underway. The roof has been replaced - supported by finely carved timber trusses. The rusty old metal window frames have been... More

It is a matter of regret that this Anglican cathedral should still not have been restored, so many years after Hurricane Ivan. It is on an imposing site and must have been very attractive; one can only hope that it will be restored.

The church has stood as it was left after Hurricane Ivan for over 10 years, giving a sense of the devastation caused in 2004. The cost of renovation is colossal but in 2014 restoration work slowly started with the hope of completion by the end of 2016. There are a few memorial plaques on the walls, some nice tile work... This church was damaged by the hurricane in September 7th 2005 which devastated that island.Ever since this time she did not get a new make over.Today she is being renovated. I don't know how long the work will take; but there is now hope for her.It is the only Anglican church in that city.
