we snorkelled from the shore as unable to get a boat to the island. Coral poor, most of it dead. Saw only 2 turtles and very few fish. The bars and restaurants along the beach were very busy and average food and service. The public toilets near the boat hire and tourist information were smelly and had no paper!. Apparentlyy,... We took a cruise excursion with Tropical Tours to visit this area. The bus took us from the cruise terminal to the reserve to board a glass bottom boat. It is a great way for those uncomfortable with snorkeling to get a view of the reef & the fish. On our return trip we also saw turtles & a huge... More

Spent about 45 min snorkelling around with our guests and saw loads of fish everywhere, but the corals were absolutely incredible. A definite must see. We were anchored nearby and took the dinghy over and tied up to a mooring ball. It was quite busy with divers, snorkellers and kayakers, but not so busy that you couldn't see everything.

This is a superb spot to swim with glorious sea turtles. Enter from the beach and swim out about 100 feet until you begin to see the sea grass. It won't be long before you'll encounter beautiful sea turtles grazing on the grass, and coming up periodically for air. These graceful creatures are simply amazing to swim along with. We... More

Spent 2 weeks on Basse-Terre. Went diving every day. I'm from California and Guadeloupe spoiled me. All dives before and after lunch. No wetsuit, water temperature was fantastic. Diving in California is exhausting due to the cold water. The Caribbean waters are very clear. Unlimited viability. Not tiring due to warm water, no wetsuit and no weight belt. Take a... More

We used on a glass bottom boat to visit the area. The scenery was fantastic with many fishes of different size and color around us. It was a very cool experience. The boat then anchored and we were allowed to snorkel for a while around the island. Kids and adults love it

Absolutly poor. A real failure , the whole submarine environment is quite dead, no comparison with other reef. The boat is very expensive (25€). Avoid if you can

There is a lot of options to come out too the Islands, and even just with normal snoring equipment you will have an awesome time exploring!

Scuba dived (with own gear) around Pigeon Island. The Piscine wall is very good diving at 20m but I preferred the Japanese Gardens off Point Malendure. Rich colours, plenty of fish moray, turtles, and clear water. Depth here between 5-20m. 7/10.

We did the tour on the Nautilus glass bottom boat, and missed to best of the experience. The operators were so interested in running the most people through in the quickest time, that we never had a moment to appreciate what we were seeing. There are better ways to visit.
