I spent a week in a gîte near the plage de Bois Jolan and really enjoyed this beach. I would walk down to the rather rocky Gros Sable beach (where you can rent a surf board and take lessons) and then take the little trail...More

Due to the reef protecting the beach, water at this place was the warmest that we experienced at Guadeloupe (or anywhere). For one person in our group, this was wonderful, because it was easy to get into the water and pleasant to stay in. For...More

The beach is very picturesque with palm tress close to shore and the white sand going long way. We came in the morning and it was clean and not at all crowded but I understood it can get busy especially during w/e. The place is...More

This beach is a good choice for swimming safely or simply resting in the water close to shore. The surf breaks quite a ways out and isn't too high. We visited both morning and evening. The beach is clean, the views are lovely and it...More

If you’re looking for a quiet get away beach, this is not it. While beautiful, it is full of kids (and I mean full)....kids fighting, parents hitting their kids, kids screaming and crying, kids knocking sand on your towel. We were on a honeymoon so...More

Found a muddy parking but only a short distance from there was the beach. A very tall beach with a narrow beach edge. White sand and turquoise water. A lot of seaweed and seaweed in the water and flooded on land. Shallow water. No waves....More

Beautiful sand, beautiful water, trees for shade, not so many people... What could be better? Parking is great BUT the main lot is clay and extremely slippery. Be very careful. Park very close to the path if you can. Or better yet turn left as...More

We enjoyed this beach very much. Fairly clean, easy parking. The coral/rocky shallows make it difficult to swim.
