Just a few KM past Saint Anne is Plage de Bois Jolan - boasting plenty of parking and a rockier/shallow beach perfect for snorkeling. Bring your picnic here because there are no amenities and shops - this was my favorite beach. From the right spot it could pass as a private beach.

this beach is beautiful! it is so natural and serene. there weren't many people there, and the walk along the beach was interesting, especially to find lots of little clear/white fish swimming along the shore. the low trees along the beach provide nice shade and shelter for people, and it just feels very calm, relaxed, and kind of private. the... Very nice lagoon, nice to have a walk around too. Shade from the coconut trees, be careful that none fall into you :-) there are some restaurants nearby but I did not try them. The parking is really close to the beach. I really recommend this spot! Good for kids as it is not deep. If you like to swim... More

We stayed at a hotel close by so it was super easy access. Lots of parking. It was a very nice place, perfect for relaxation. Lots of palm trees. I liked this beach for its more natural setting. An amazing and constant breeze which is awesome to read a good book and to relax on the beach. There is alot... More

It's close to St Anne but far from the crowds. Some families. Some couples. Lots of space to feel like you have the beach to yourself. It was very windy today, almost too windy, but I'm not sure if that is normal.

This was a great beach with plenty of shade. It is a very good beach for small kids as it was very shallow for a long ways and there was some sort of reef far out where the waves crashed so the water was very calm like a swimming pool closer to the beach. Not many beach vendors here.

On my first trip to Grande Terre, a local told me to try out this beach--we went back again because of the warm turquoise water, shallow enough to just kneel and feel the water hold you up. The coral barrier makes the swimming area like a pool. It is has natural seaweed in parts but very clear water to the... More

Perhaps my favorite beach in the entire island! it is a real Caribbean beach, long with white sand and clean water with several shades of blue. The sea is always calm due to the reef so it is ideal if you have small children, less pleasant for adults from this point of view since it is nearly impossible to swim.... More

This beach had ample parking, calm clear blue waters, good shade (lots of palm trees) and was a great place to spend the late afternoon and evening. My husband and I went twice, and might have gone more if we'd been in the area for longer. It was not as crowded as the beach in Sainte Anne.
