We've been to Labadee five years in a row, always in January or February. Royal Caribbean has done a very nice job of setting up a beach resort area designed for a day of pleasurable frolicking in the sun (we even did it in the...More

If you know your ship is stopping at Labadee then you can easily discover that this is a rented private area of Haiti, leased to Royal Caribbean and you cannot go anywhere else in Haiti. It's effectively a beach stop for some relaxation, sun bathing,...More

Was looking forward to Labadee and visiting Haiti, only to discover the resort is modelled on Guantanamo Bay. A tiny step of beach with no culture, no history, no sight seeing and absolutely nothing to do! A lot of messing around was wasted on arranging...More

We did an excursion first, had a great time. Returned to the island and grabbed lunch the crew from the ship set up. Good food, however, I must eat gluten free. Not much provisions for that, of course I could have gone back to the...More

This island is a privately-owned peninsula of Haiti, purchased & run by the cruise lines. The natives (or locals) have been restricted to & basically hidden away "up the hill & around the corner" from the advertised Marketplace. Do not be afraid to go up...More
