Went to the Devon House restaurant called The GrogShoppe with business colleagues last week and I can't say enough about the service and the quality of the food! Everyone at our table was extremely pleased start to end. The Ackee puffs as an appetizer were actually really tasty, as was the shrimp. The Pina Coladas we started with were also... More

Just loved the house and the guide was great. The only disappointment was that the focu of the guide was more about the furniture that the social history. When she did talk about it she brought it alive. As the house was owned by Jamaica's first black millionaire, it would have been more interesting to know about his life and... More

A magnificent house built by Jamaica's first black millionaire, John Stiebel. A great "thank you" to those who had the foresight to save this magnificent historical building and its surroundings for the world to enjoy. After learning about the history and enjoying the antiques and artifacts, wander through the grounds and savor the best ice cream and patties in the... More

Very nice estate within the city center. The mansion is a museum with furniture from the different owners that lived there. Nice to get the history of the house, and its inhabitants, told by the complimentary guided tour. On weekdays you have the house almost to yourself. The big surprise with this estate is the bakery/restaurant with excellent ice cream.... More

The best place for top quality locally made gifts. The shops are small and personal and you can browse freely without feeling hustled or pressured. The chocolate and the ice cream are to die for. The quality and flavors are so rich... I also enjoyed the lobster patty. Great little place to visit on your next trip to Kingston.

Devon House is always nice to visit. Many unique souvenir stores, pastries shops and of course the famous Devon House I Scream. You can tour the great house and get the history behind Devon House. There's outdoor and indoor dining. Try the 'Devon Duppy' at The Mahogany Tree Bar! Sorry guys,,,,I stole the recipe! It's just that good.

Stopped in for lunch-My colleagues had the humus and pita and I had a salad. For dessert we had ice cream. Everything was delicious. Nice atmosphere in the Devon House area. Would highly recommend.
