I was lucky when I went to see the light house. I got to go up to check out the view. It was awesome. Everything was kept up and to see the old books and equipment was unreal.

Took a walk to the lighthouse from the Rockhouse to find out that it is closed indefinitely for renovations. The site is gated and locked several dilapidated structures rich and history are still on grounds

We went up to the Negril lighthouse and it was so pretty. The view and the grounds. Amazing that on a clear day through binoculars, you can see Cuba which is 80 miles away...

This is listed as a tourist attraction and we like lighthouses and decided to go. If you enjoy viewing one from behind a locked gated fence, then this is for you. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. you can't get close enough to see a thing

Very neat to see and hard to believe it is still in use. Nice area over looking the Caribbean Sea. About an hour drive West from Lucea Jamaica and right across from Rick's Cafe.

The Negril Lighthouse and its property is now privately owned and not open to the public. You can peek through a chain link fence at it, but that's about it. Do consider eating right across the street, tho, at Penny's Seafood or just up the block at Murphy's

Wednesday afternoon, 5th of April and we were on a catamaran trip from Montego Bay to Negril, with our final stop at Rick's Bar to see the sunset. With some time on our hands we walked down the road to see the lighthouse close up as it looked impressive from our catamaran as we sailed by. Sadly when we got... More
