you dont want to go here , its just a load of shacks not far away from a shanty town selling the usual tourist stuff you can buy cheaper at your resort shop, they dont like you they just want your money, if you dont buy off their stall expect a rude remark , they all just hassle you all... More

Not fashionable or orderly. Lots of shacks selling craft, tee shirts, mementos. Expect this and it can be a good experience. Shop around and negotiation are the keys to good deals. People friendly, assertive but most aren't to pushy. Few suggestions: - if you are not interested in the wares of a vendor, don't interact, say No Thanks and keep... More

Spend some time looking around before buying. We were interested in 3 pieces of carved art. Prices ranged from $25-75USD. Artists and shop owners show respect for whisper negotiations. Don't beat them down too much. I never offered a counter price, just kept asking for best price. Foundation will get our business again.

My partner and I ventured to the craft market in an attempt to get some unique Jamaican products, however from the moment we were dropped there, we were hassled and pushed to purchase. They don't really understand the concept of allowing people to browse, it's very frustrating. We couldn't get out of there faster, and that was after being literally... More

With over 50 booths, you will find everything from the classic made in China tourist stuff along with some authentic Jamaican goods. Take your time and look for something other than classic tourist junk/stuff and you may find something in budget and worth dragging home. Even if you don't buy it's a fun experience as every vendor will invite you... More

I met and bought a nice wood carving from Roger. A really nice person to deal with and some beautiful work. Also got a couple of earrings for my wife from August also a very nice lady. If you are there at lunch time and don't mind waiting in line the lunches are really good at the cook shop and... More

While staying in Negril at nearby Hedonism II resort, I walked to these Craft Fair shops twice during my stay and my experience was so different than the usual high pressure hustle sometimes seen on beaches and other vendor locations. Smiles and offers to view items ranging from locally crafted jewelry, clothing, wood-carved items and miscellaneous gift items/souvenirs. Prices were... More

This market has more Jamaican made stuff compared to the craft market by the bridge. Don't waste your time at the Time Square Mall...all of that stuff is made in India or China.

This excellent market should be MUCH, MUCH busier than it is! There are some great, locally-made arts and crafts here; none of that "Made in China" crap. Some of the wood carvings are particularly good. We bought several wood carvings and I also got myself a pretty bracelet. I would have bought a painting, too, if there were an inch... More
