Fun with family. Great reminder that learning about our history is also time well spent with family. We had a great day while experiencing this historical reminder! Make time for it! Well worth it. Locals get local rates.

There is not a lot to see now but the site was once a strong British fort and under the command of Nelson at one time. After earthquakes and storms the terrain has been altered a lot - but if history interests you this is interesting. The local guide is enthusiastic and very helpful.

This fort is one of three ruins in the Port Royal area, and as such have historical interest for history buffs, and anyone with a passing interest in British and Caribbean seafaring history.

Fort Rupert, Fort Walker and Fort Morgan have been long demolished, reviewers should know that these forts do not exist anymore, except for small remains or a plate signaling where they once stood. Most visitors and reviewers are actually referring to Fort Charles, the only one you can visit. This precision is important so contributors are more careful when suggesting... More
