The paseo is an easy stroll from the cruise piers. Very pedestrian friendly and mostly level. The fountain at the west end of the paseo is very interesting. The story it represents is explained on stands around the fountain in both English and Spanish. There are numerous places to sit along the paseo and a few sculptures that are worth... More

We left from PR on a cruise and we set out to find this place. What a beautiful area! We were lucky and was told every wkend the area hosts a small street fair or festival. We were just thrilled to be able to see so many people enjoying themselves dancing, eating and taking in the PR culture. The fountain... More

On Thanksgiving this place was alive with music and every kiosk was open selling crafts and so many different types of foods and piraguas (shaved ice) We went back the next week for bacalaitos and most of the kiosks were closed

Took a nice walk on the Paseo one Saturday late afternoon into the evening end of July. There were many Kiosks around with local food everywhere, and artisans, even live music by the small plaza facing the pier. You will get to a beautiful water fountain called Roots Fountain or "Raices Fountain", beautiful collection of bronze statues seems to be... More

Nice walk, historic sites and on Sundays and Holidays plenty of local artisans selling beautiful art and local products at a reasonable price.

Beautiful view of the sunset from here, but I was disappointed based on other reviews I read. No artisans or food set up when we were there. The walk there from El Morro is definitely a must.
