Always great to see

So much history here! The ancient forts, castle and arsenal protecting this original city. They're still in great shape and being restored when they can be.

An easy walk along the ocean taking you back through history. There are many spots to sit in the shade while taking in the awesome views!

So amazing that these forts and walls and other buildings have survived with such little care done for them. Just amazing and free to take in their beauty as you stroll through and around old San Juan.

I didn't realize I had walked along a TripAdvisor attraction. There are no guides there asking for money to tell you the history. There are many such undiscovered places in Old San Juan. Toss the map and let your feet and imagination take you on an adventure! Adjacent to this site is the Old Jail, three cells left undisturbed for... More

This was the last place in the Americas where the imperial Spanish flag flew. After the United States invaded Puerto Rico on 1898 and the Island was ceded to the US as part of the Treaty of Paris, thus ending the Spanish American War, the US military government allowed the remaining Spanish troops to remain in the Arsenal until they... The Arsenal is an historic place which deserves a visit. The San Juan Bay view is breathtaking. Have your camera ready for a ton of photos.
