My husband and I enjoyed going to this small museum. When we went, they were still renovating their permanent home so we didn't see much, but what we did see was presented to us with a personal touch and attention to us as patrons that you don't often get in other museums.

This was a great experience and totally unexpected. The curator was very knowledgeable about the collection as well as the gallery of prints by Puerto Rican artist, Fernando Santiago Camacho. It was amazing to see books from the 14th century. This will be a highlight of our trip.

This tiny museum is located in a temporary gallery space awaiting a new home. The curator brought down select books and we perused them with great explanations. The books were treasures and this was a very nice personal nexperience.

I found out that the museum is open in a temporary location while its original building on Calle Cristo is being restored. The temporary location is #199 del Callejon de la Capilla (a Callejon is a little pedestrian side street). You access the callejon from Calle Fortaleza, next to #319. They have a wonderful collection of rare books. They also... More

If you see books and typography as works of art, you will want to visit La Casa Del Libro. The museum has a large collection of silk screen, wood cut illustrations, and fine books and manuscripts from before the 15th century to 20th century, but not much was on display as they are in temporary digs until renovations are complete... The Museum is small but full of many interesting things. Spectacular to spend some time exploring history.
