The smell here is amazing! You start off with a cappuccino and an interesting lesson on the origin of coffee. Then you get to tour the property and learn about how coffee is grown. The machines they use to process the beans and roast them are also shown for an entire educational experience. You have the opportunity to purchase this... More

Kurt the Farmer shared his vast knowledge of coffee history and his business. The tour was very educational and not too strenuous. The directions he provided were right on target and very helpful. This was a delightful experience that I would highly recommend. The drive up the mountain was very scenic. It is worth the drive.

We wanted to see something "off the beaten path" and this was perfect. It took almost 2 hours from San Juan, much of it up winding mountain roads, to arrive but it was well worth it! Kurt was a great host, patient and interesting, answered all of our questions while serving coffee and banana bread. I particular liked how he... More

While the concierge at our hotel knew very little about coffee plantation tours, we saw reviews of Hacienda Pomarrosa on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try. So glad we did! This was one of my favorite things we did while in Puerto Rico! Kurt and Sebastian are the father/son owners and are gracious and knowledgeable hosts. We were... More

Kurt & Sebastian we're welcoming, entertaining and extremely knowledgable about coffee - it's history, it's cultivation, and definitely its preparation. The day involves a nice walk around the hacienda grounds after an exciting trip up mountain switchbacks. Really a great time! We brought our coffee crazy tween, and he loved as well.

This plantation is a father and son family business. And the tour is a collaboration of the two as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Kurt gave us a talk about the history of coffee growing in America and then a personal history of the farm. His son then gave us a walking tour of the entire operation. It was... More

We heard about the place thanks to a family member that had previously visited. We were greeted upon arrival by the owners who were very accesible and charming. The stay includes breakfast and all you can drink coffee and a tour of the facilities. Its a nice place to unwind and relax in the cool quiet mountains of Puerto Rico.... More
