Puerto Rico island Veques

Nice but watch for a drop off right by the life guard station. Plenty of picnic tables and shade. Locals selling their wares along the road.

Vieques has no shortage of great beaches, and Secret Beach is no exception. Great for lazing on the beach and swimming. Snorkeling is just OK.

Pata Prieta, Secret Beach, used to be our favorite beach on Vieques but the last 2 times we were there, wasn't the best. The beach is pretty secluded, down a dirt road, park in a lot, then walk a short distance down a gravel road. It's along a quiet little cove, doesn't get alot of visitors. To the right is... More

The water is really warm and clean. There were about a dozen people on the beach which left plenty of room to set up our umbrella. There is a long strip of seaweed that runs the length of the beach. This beach is good for snorkelling.

Definitely one of my favorite two beaches on the island. Water is crystal clear and aqua blue. Stingrays swam around my feet. A few places for shade, but better to bring an umbrella.

The beach is ok but I agree with the other reviewer, it was the most densely crowded of all the beaches we visited. The secret has been let out of the bag and it means many more people.

Beautiful white sand. Very private and not at all crowded. Crystal clear water. Great for swimming. Beware- there were nude swimmers the day we were there but locals say that is very unusual.

Secret Beach was really secret. On the drive through the National Refuge past Blue Beach there is a small road down a hill which most people will fail to see as they are on their journey towards La Plata Beach. This beach was narrow and secluded which was beautiful, but beware there was a ton of seaweed on the beach... More
