This is wonderful in a way that photos just can’t capture. Seriously just leave the iPhones on the bus and live in the moment- a very unique moment. Also, maybe wear some bug repellent.

The bay illuminated as they said it would.. looks like underwater fireflies, but it was a full moon so it was hard to see. I would recommend that you check the lunar calendar to ensure you get the most out of your Bio Bay trip.

The bay is recovering from Maria nicly. My guide was great and knowledgable. Went during new moon. Experienced the bright bioluminescence.

This bay holds the world record for brightest biobay out of the known 7 worldwide. It's name is no joke, bring mosquito repellent, use those long sleeve surf shirts ( don't remember if they have a name but its a breathable stretchy material) and water...More

Go see the biobay. Having gone in 2008 and 2016 I feared the bay would not glow as bright after Maria. Not true. The bay was the brightest I can remember and apparently has made a full recovery. Loved the tour by JAK Sports.

Must-Go trip, that’s what you come for. you will get wet, and phone and camera won’t work there, but you will see the fantastic world by you eyes. Every picture toile will be black, only way is see by your eyes.

Well worth the cost, which was reasonable. We went with JAK Watersports and had a great time. Their guides are fun and extremely knowledgeable.

It will be a magical, priceless memory to remember for a lifetime. In the waters of Mosquito Bay there are organisms named Pyrodinium bahamense, Dinoflagellates (dinos). These “dinos” are responsible for this amazing natural phenomenon. When the “dinos” come into contact with another organism or shaken...More

While it wasn't as spectacular as before the hurricanes it was magical nonetheless and we don't regret going to see it. Choose a smaller outfit so you get more time on the water to learn more. You need to know the organisms got washed out...More
