Visiting the fort is a great rainy day activity or if you just need some time out of the sun. The fort has been restored and offers beautiful views of Isabel and the harbor. There is no entrance fee, although donations are accepted and appreciated. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The museum doesn't take long to tour but there... More

We love to learn about the places we are visiting and this museum was full of interesting information. My children were fascinated by the map of the bombs on and around the island. The views were great as well.

Upgrading the exhibitions after upgrading the outdoor painting. The museum is the center of Vieques social justice and has a good book store on the resistance and access to local artists and talent.

We visited the museum twice while there and loved the views, and the staff at the museum were so fun and kind! Great place for pictures and history, as well as art.

You don't need to spend a lot of time here, but it is worth seeing some of the history between Vieques and the United States. There is a history between the military and the island similar to the one between the Navy and Culebra that is worth learning about. Talk to the staff at the entrance to the museum if... More

Perched above Isabel Segunda facing the Atlantic this fort is wonderful museum with information on the island's history and naval influences.

We enjoyed the view but there really isn't much else there. I'm a history buff but the information presented is minimal. You'll learn about the dispute between the locals and US Navy but not much else of interest. Worth going for the view if time allows but not worth any sacrifice of precious beach time.

These guys are fun ... we went to Fortin Conde de Mirasol as our very last adventure before heading off to drop our Jeep back at the rental office. We were looking for the relic of the ancient 4000-year-old man that was found on Vieques a few years ago. But they had lent him to another museum for a while... More

You wont be there long, but there is a lot of history, (dont) take a piece of it home, you can get in trouble!

"Without firing a short, we defeated the US Navy." Go to read about the local people's sad but ultimately triumphant history with the US Navy, which took over the island and moved all the residents inland in the 1940s, leaving undetonated bombs throughout their homeland. Also great views of "Town."
