Went here when visiting Martinique on our recent cruise. Its really not far from the cruise terminal (walking distance). When we were there the cathedral was undergoing renovation work but you can still go inside. Worth a visit for the architecture alone.

We wanted to peek in during our walking tour of Fort de France, but the cathedral is under restoration and we could not enter. It is beautiful from the outside!

Went here when visiting Martinique on cruise ship. Not far from the cruise terminal. At the moment the cathedral is undergoing renovation work but you can still go in for a look. Worth a visit.

The cathedral is under renovation. Its spire is striking against the blue Caribbean sky. The plaza in front of the cathedral retained decorations from the Xmas holidays.

The exterior is under renovation and not spectacular, but stained glass windows are worth admiring from the inside. The history of the church (built 1878) and its predecessors is summarized succinctly in a small plate on the back wall--in English and French. The previous five...More

I fell in love with this church. The stained glass was detailed and brilliant. A great place for folks who love architecture and history. A must see when you're in Martinique!

We visited in mid-afternoon and could hear that some sort of service was going on inside, In fact there were about 100 women in the front pews of the right-hand half of the cathedral. In the front row, three women took turns to read and...More

We will be there on a Sunday December 5, hoping to walk to Mass there from the cruise port. Is it a safe walk and does anyone know the Sunday Mass times?
