Just a ten-minute stroll from the harbour along well signposted streets takes you to the small but lovely Shell beach with its crystal-clear water. The only shelter from the sun is the small number of beach umbrellas next to the sunbeds in front of the recently opened swanky Shellona restaurant; be prepared to buy an expensive drink or snack to... We anchored here for a couple of nights during our recent trip here. A pity the beach bar and restaurant doesn't stay open for dinner though. Everything shuts down by 7 p.m.

Beautiful waters, corals everywhere. Avoid the beach bar if you are not extremely reach. Water 10€, coctails 17-22€, sun-bed 50€

YOU NEED YOUR WATER SHOES! The shell are very sharp and it is hard to walk on. The water are a little ruff and has many waves. The scenery is beautiful. Don't waste your money to buy $50 beach chair for each, bring a towel and lay on it.

Very nice beach with a quiet atmosphere. We spent a short time, but would have liked have stayed longer - parking was impossible.

The beach is the closest beach to the docks and about 3/8 of a mile walk. The beach is clean and each end encloses the beach with great rock formations.

We were in St Barts just after the Rolling Stones and Sir Paul McCartney left. It is lovely but expensive. Yes the beach chairs are 50 euros each per day. You can place your towel for free on the beach adjacent to the chairs and enjoy the same sun and water.

Close to town is Shell beach. A nice, pretty little beach and shells there certainly are in large quantities. When we were there (January) it was busy-ish but not overly, so plenty of room to find space. It is a very European beach in that there were quite a few ladies sunbathing topless. Unusual for the Caribbean. If you go... More

Very cool beach. It is small and quaint beach with plenty of beautiful women around and a great Brazilian/Local Restaurant on location.
