Driving down the east coast. Good if you like driving around bends. Came across Mamiku Gardens which was a welcome distraction from going round the bend. Historical site with a wide variety of flora and fauna. 20 ECD entrance fee.

We combined a visit to the gardens with a round trip through the adjacent forest with a local guide. We learnt about the growth and production of bananas and the uses of coconuts. This was the more interesting part of the visit. The gardens themselves...More

If you are staying at the Fox Grove Inn (see separate report) then you are just twenty minutes walk from Mamiku Gardens. The entrance fee is EC$ 20 and is paid to the lady who runs the little cafe. The gardens are well laid out...More

OK, it was a very quiet day, but the reception was off-hand and the 'refreshments' were a joke. Having said that, the place is interesting but not desperately well maintained. Lots of lovely orchids, and the deepest softest lawn ever! Lots of plant marking numbers...More

Mamiku offers well presented gardens (with fauna guide) in part shade set in peaceful grounds. Worth stopping by if you're in the area. There is a cafe and restrooms in the grounds.

A delightful and serene way to spend a Sunday afternoon, it is off the beaten track located on the East Coast of St. Lucia, between the villages of Praslin and Mon Repos on the way to the airport. Tour operators seems to want to shuttle...More

This garden is located in a much drier conditions than Botanical Gardens, so cannot and should not be compared. We couldn’t work out plants against a plant guide given to us but we enjoyed peacefulness of this garden, learning about history of the Micoud Estate...More

A superb trip to a beautiful natural garden/ estate in the east of the island , which gives a great alternative to all other trips that seem to go to Soufriere. Our thanks to Gilbet our guide who really brought the garden to life. A...More

The entrance fee is a way too high. The garden is very small, and you do not see anything what you have not seen outside of it. So idea, what we paid the money for.
