We went into Rodney Bay often to shop at the Massy Stores for food and wine. There are numerous restaurants that are mostly upscale and pricey. The place gets very busy at night when the locals hit the bars on the strip. There is a nice relaxed vibe to the place, although a bit on the touristy side.

Downtown Rodney Bay is all malls and shopping with a few restaurants, I wasn't too impressed with this part of the bay, but really enjoyed the north of the bay with Pigeon Island and Gros Islet. The views of the bay from Pigeon Island are stunning and give a really good idea of the volcanic landscape of St Lucia.....

I dont really like the look and feel of Rodney Bay' downtown area. Ugly malls and lots of traffic. Not pedestrian friendly at all. I much preferred the area north of Rodney bay up nearer to Pigeon Island.

Comparing Rodney Bay to Castries and other small villages, I would not go there. The beach restaurant was nice. Very good service

Rodney bay is a beautiful place. Lots of nice yachts anchored. Calms seas. Nice marina. The water is not as clear as the bay at soufriere but still good snorkelling. I saw eel urchin fish coral

Great if you like to shop. We hit the water and beach. A mix of resorts, restaurants, shops. Very busy with cruise ship tourists

Rodney Bay was fascinating. The history, the architecture from the early 1800's, and THE VIEWS, were mesmerizing. It's a good hike to the top of Fort Rodney so bring comfortable shoes.
