We stopped here as part of a general Soufriere tour, and this was the highlight of the day. First recommendation is to go with a guide – don’t “hire” any of the ones that frequent the front entrance. Our guide was a long-time resident of...More

We took a 20min walk here from the town of Soufriere. Then it was about a 25min walk down a long road from the front entrance sign then another gate to get into the garden! $7US per person and about a 7min walk to the...More

This botanical garden is 1-1.5 hours each way from the cruise port. It’s very cool and there’s a ton of exotic plants. Not sure I’d ever go back unless St. Lucia builds some tunnels instead of the mountainous roads to get there. The “natural bath”...More

Don’t expect too much. You’ll be in and out within 30 minutes. Don’t even bother getting a guide, it’s pretty much a waste of money. They’ll be sitting outside waiting. We walked around ourselves and nothing special. The diamond falls was nothing special either.

My husband and I stopped at the Diamond Botanical Gardens as part of the Soufriere Experience with Majestic Taxis and Tours. We walked through them with a local guide, who told us all about the different flora in the area. The gardens were beautiful with...More

If you're like me and want to cruise through the rainforest without expending much effort, this is the move. Seriously, the light stroll was really nice, peaceful, and fulfilling. They have cool plants in display, such as the plant that makes ricin, cocoa, etc. The...More

Small and shady enough to walk round comfortably in the heat. We did not have a tour guide so were able to enjoy it at our own pace. Prepare yourself for vendors waiting to pounce at the entrance. All very friendly but a bit awkward.

Although there is a waterfall in the gardens, it's not terribly awe-inspiring so the flowers and trees are the star of this attraction. My tour group had a guide, but I noticed there was good signage (in English) all around the garden so you can...More

Some of the most beautiful flowers and trees. The waterfall and the humming birds were an added bonus. A definite must see.

We asked for a tour guide as my sister and I knew we would have lots of questions! Joan was our guide and was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were aware that we were probably very slow as we wanted to look at as much...More

The falls are about 2 hours from the cruise terminal. We rented a car and drove around, but that is risky. The safest bet would be a tour through the cruise or negotiate an all day tour with a taxi.

There is nothing strenuous about the walk. As with many of the sights, it is up to you as to how long you wish to stay. There are guides to take you around the garden to point out the various fauna that is there. There is... More
