,,,so that you can put some of the information in perspective. It's a little bitty museum, maybe takes 30 minutes to take it all in. The info sheet is very helpful and the history is interesting as are the artifacts. Drop a little donation for the volunteers' time.

It is a nice little museum with a lot of history on the island. Lots of historical photos and information. The museum was not crowded when we visited and the owner was happy to answer all questions. The gift shop has some nice local artwork. Definitely worth a visit.

Everyone should make a trip to see the museum to learn more about SXM. Please also donate to support all the wonderful people and volunteers that keep the museum going. There are also books and gifts to purchase there that you will enjoy.

The address is 7 Front Street, but it's down an alley off of Front Street. Find #5 on Front Street and turn down that alley and you'll see it. There is a little shop, then you take the stairs up to the museum. There is more there than I can remember or describe, but there are artifacts from the Arawak... More

This is a small museum packed with lots of artifacts and materials tucked away on a narrow side street in Philipsburg. If you are interested in history you should take the time to search this place out and spend an hour or so checking out their multitude of historical items

This is a great place to spend an hour or two while in Philipsburg. It is a great way to learn about the inhabitants past and present and the intertwined cultures that make Sint Maarten.

Small museum but packed and the gift shop has some local books. I picked one up one gem on the flora and fauna of the island.

We knew there was an historical museum in Phillipsburg and after asking many people we found it. Well worth searching for. The volunteer there when we visited, Rochelle, was excellent. The collection is small but has items from all time periods. Visitors should look for this Museum; one can learn something and see something besides tourist shops! But there are... More

Small museum tucked away just off the Boardwalk. Nothing truly spectacular, but a good look at the area before Columbus, and an interesting survey of colonial development.
