To see Roland Richardson's art in person is a treat! Go on a Thursday between 11-3:00 see him work and hear this artist speak about color and movement of "still life". His wife Julia is delightful and shares with the customers the history of his works and the building in which is both studio and shop.

This was an unforgettable experience. Sir Roland produces first rate art and it was a pleasure to look at his works in the gallery. In addition, we had the opportunity to talk with him about his work, which gave us insights into his objectives, and technique. The gallery is located in a 19th century building that is part of an... Some of the most beautiful Caribbean art you can imagine. The gallery is located in a beautiful Caribbean home with lovely gardens. Roland's work is absolutely outstanding. It is also a great pleasure to stop by and chat with Roland and his wife Laura. Enjoy, certainly a great place to visit while walking around Marigot.

One of our favorite spots to visit in Marigot. I have at least 8 pieces of his work and purchased some for gifts. The sales people are very friendly, and accomendating. There is a beautiful garden in back of the gallery that you can roam and take photos. Very special gallery to visit.

Roland is a true artist and his work is of quality and substance. Though his paintings are breath taking, they are the most affordable on the island. This place is a must, even if it's just to visit.

We viewed the gallery downstairs, upstairs, and the gardens in the back of the property. We must say we were not impressed with the art, nor the perceived values placed on the pieces. Pass this by.

Truly an artists setting. The building, grounds, and courtyard garden are wonderful. From the street you cannot miss the gallery's colorful creole style facade. The rear of the property dates back to the era of when French soldiers built Ft. Louis, and it quartered the troops and horses. The rooms are alive with vibrant colors and framed pieces of Sir... I've met Roland the artist a few times on my visits to the island both on St.Martin and Anguilla. The way he depicts island culture and the vivid colors is just amazing! I'm not a art connoisseur, but it makes you want to purchase a piece to bring back a little of the islands home!

A visit to Sint Maarten/St. Martin isn't complete without visiting Sir Roland's gallery in downtown Marigot. His plein air impressionism paintings of local island scenes is something every visitor will want to take home to remember the island by. My wife and I have been visiting the gallery for many years and never miss the opportunity to see new works,... More
