Smugglers Cove or Belmont bay as it was known in the old days is one of the most beautiful beaches in the BVI and in my opinion, the nicest beach on Tortola. It hasn't really changed in the thirty years we've been going to the BVI either. It's a little drive down a dirt road to get there be carfeful... More

We walked to this little beach from our hotel 2-3 times during the week. It is much nicer when all of the cruise boat folks aren't there. Very quirky. Nigel's has a snack shack, bar, and equipment rental.

Excellent beach with decent snorkeling and great swimming. One concession stand with drinks and chairs. Trees provide shade at back of beach.

A bit hard to reach - with minimal facilities, it is beautiful and uncrowded. Bring your won picnic food.

It is lovely with great sand, plentiful shade and great blue green water. Warm water... snorkeling is good but not fabulous. There are fish and coral but not abundant. The water this day was murky... Visit Nigel to order a cocktail and rent one of his paddle boards or reserve a chaise and relax on the beach. Be sure to bring your bug spray if you are there around dusk.

Beautiful place to swim and snorkel although the coral reef was killed by a storm some years ago. Check out the cruise ship docking schedule online to avoid moderate crowds. Good shade provided by mangroves.

If you have a picture of a sandy beach with safe approach to the water, fish right up to the beach with coral and snorkel depth for all abilities. Spectacular views and not busy. This is it. Simply breathtaking scenery, great water, great swimming, shade trees. Ok not filled with cafes and bars, not covered with toilets but there is... More

Calmer beach just a short walk from the resort, but still just as beautiful. Rough road if you decide to drive
