Long Bay has been on my short list of beaches to snorkel. I'm sure conditions underwater are intact and doing well - so this review is only from a landlubber's perspective.. The access road from the main road down to the park lot near the...More

We found the sandy road down to the beach that is *somewhat* near Long Bay. A longtime tourist pointed to a distant sailboat and told us that the snorkeling on the far side of that boat is the best on the entire island. As I...More

We stopped to check out beach in afternoon. Very little shade. Surf was up so we did not snorkel . Looks like it would be a good place if it was calm.

Took a taxi from pier about $30 one way. 25 min ride from the pier. We did not want to wait to fill up a jeep. We would have saved about $10. We were the only cruise ship in this day. Beach relatively empty, chairs...More

Beach is a bit rockier which volcanic rocks. They said there was a lot of sea glass but we didn't have any luck.

This a long stretch of uncorked beach. If you go mid-day, there's not much shade, so bring your sunscreen.
