We snorkeled two times at Governor's Beach. The first time we really were not in the right area but we were swarmed by fairly large gray fish! The second time we got to the coral area and it was really great. Lots of varieties of...More

We stayed just a short walk from the Governor's Beach and walked along there almost every day. We also snorkeled along the Governor's Reef and were amazed at all the different types of fish. What a grand time we had and would definitely recommend the...More

This was a nice Beach with plenty of room for everyone. We snorkeled the reef about 100 yards out and there were a lot of fish. They must get fed by the tour boats because they are obviously looking for food. The fish will gather...More

I am a scuba diver, and like to snorkel on my off time. There is not good snorkeling. I have driven all over this Island. The water is incredibly rough, and the beach here while beautiful, lacked fish.

due to all the bars and hotels this beach is too crowded. But the sand is white and the water is blue. Very beautiful.

This beach is located next door to the Westin and opened to the public . The actual Governors House is posted no trespassing , so stay by the shoreline .

Seven Mile is probably the best Grand Cayman beach, however, the Governor's Beach section is the best of the best. Separated from the more tourist visited section, it is quite and less crowded. Frequented by locals and extended stay visitors it's quite enjoyable. Swimming, snorkeling...More

The beach is beautiful. The problem is there are no facilities to use to change clothes or use the restroom. The water is sparkling and a very clean beach. Lots of fish to see while snorkeling

Other beaches have better snorkeling like cemetery beach, smiths cove and Spotts beach. Probably best snorkeling is on the north side, Cayman Kia beach.
