This beach is used by locals and is next to the governors mansion, just north of the westin. There are no facilities or vendors only great snorkeling. You can go to the reef for better snorkeling, but it is not bad close to the beach...More

Easy to swim or kayak out to the reef from the shore at public beach next to Governor's House. Great for beginning snorkelers, too. We took kids 5, 4, and 3, and 82 year old great-grandmother (with life jackets), and they loved it. Some people...More

Many options from public to hotel beaches. I suggest a hotel beach with all the ammenities. Beach has many local restaurants. Great sand and water, a must see

On of the best free beach remaining on 7 mile. Always calm with crystal clear water, quiet surroundings and free parking. A great place to enjoy the sunset and is close to restaurants, bars and hotels.

We mainly went to check it out because it was close to 7 mile beach. A little more crowded for our preference but the snorkeling was good once you got out far enough.

I read very surprised to see that there had been a problem with these fish for at least 2 years. We went to governor's beach today to snorkel and the aggressive fish are still there! We've seen these fish in other places on Grand Cayman,...More

Surprisingly uncrowded for an amazing quality beach. Easy parking too. It was the perfect beach break between days of diving and snorkeling. No concessions and only a port-a-potty but that was ok for us. Pack a cooler and a beach chair to enjoy the time.
