Before you even get to the site you can smell the aroma of sulphur in the air. It is not unpleasant however I suppose , hence the name Brimstone . It is accessed via a steep & narrow road . I did not see anyone on foot making the assent however even if it is allowed . There is an... More

We spent time here during our Paradise Island tour (see other review of the tour). This place is stunning. It's 800ft above sea level and provides a spectacular panoramic view of the mountainside and the sea. The history of the fortress is amazing. It's a must see in St Kitts for sure.

Second time to visit this preserved historical site as its location on the West Caribbean coast is picture perfect. The fortress is very quiet and although a steep walk for some, you can still see much from the base if needed. Amazing to think of the battles! Prince Charles was instrumental in some of the restoration and it is a... More

This fortress sits high on a hill with fabulous views of the Caribbean sea and the green interior of the island. It's worth visiting for the views alone. There's also a wealth of history and a museum - I didn't have time to look around the latter. The ruins of the fortress are very well preserved and quite extensive. It... More

What an extraordinary place. The views are simply the best, and the rich history of the fortress is thought-provoking and well-presented. We would return in a heartbeat. Simply a great trip. The drive up the hill is a nail-biter, but we had an experienced guide. And the steps up to the fortress were a little challenging, but so very worth it.... More

Family of 4 travelling with 2 teens. While we were on a sailboat, with cruise ships off-loading tons of sight-seers, getting a taxi in town is a pain in the butt. If they say they'll take you to Brimstone Hill Fortress and the Amazing Grace House for $70 US, take it. We tried to haggle to $60 and the guy... More

My father loves history so it was no surprise that this was on our list of places to visit when he came to visit. It is as well preserved as possible with the help of donations. It is a beautiful sight to see overlooking the ocean as well as learning about the history of the island as well!

This Fort has so many beautiful views that you can't see them all. The history is there and easy to access. They have done an amazing job restoring the fort and continue to do so.
