The Victorian clock dominates the centre of the town. The town is fairly well maintained by Caribbean standards and there are not some many street traders as in many other of the Caribbean ports, which is refreshing.

Pretty cool place for pics and has that English feel to it. Come for the photos as there is not much else around except the port

The Circus was beautiful, but I also enjoyed walked around the town and soaking up St. Kitts culture.

Enjoyed taking a walk through the downtown area, sidewalks (or walking areas) are a bit narrow and uneven, but still part of the charm of these old towns and ports, easy to get around and safe, no one pestering you as you walk, and they...More

We enjoyed going into town and seeing this but it wasn't spectacular. I did love the downtown and felt very safe.

The Circus is dominated by an impressive Victorian Clock in the middle of the round about. At one time in its past it also served as a water fountain.

In the center of town across from the Museum, this is a traffic circle representation of Big Ben. Small shops and restaurants surround the town center. Tour and taxi operators abound there.

This once was a true centre, the collection of garish, seen on every Caribbean island tourist shops now built between the town and the cruise ship terminal detracts from what was a proud structure in pride of place. It remains fine as a feature, sad...More

Eating out is a personal thing. There are a lot of different restaurants in and around Basseterre, St. Kitts, which do breakfasts and lunches. My wife and I had a wonderful inexpensive lunch at the Ballahoo Restaurant in the... More
