We used Reggie with Nevis Adventure Tours. We took water taxi over from Reggae Beach and Reggie picked us up at 830. We did the Up and Over Hike. Do not attempt if not in good physical shape! We loved the hike/climb/rappel. You will get muddy but it was well worth it. Reggie was great and gave instruction/help to people... More

I can only speak to the trip we went on, but this is NOT a leisurely hike. I am in decent shape and this thing kicked my butt. Over 2 miles up and the majority is hand over hand pulling yourself up rock inclines and roots. The ropes are mostly straps tied to other roots which looked pretty sketchy in... More

There are several different styles of hikes, one to the top and several others that are geared towards less climbing and more just hiking. We did the Nevis Peak hike/climb and it was challenging but doable if you are at all fit. Get a good guide like Reggie and you will have an incredible experience. Some of the reviews say... More

We decided that we couldn't visit Nevis without climbing to the top of Nevis Peak (3232ft). We left the hotel at 7 am and after a short taxi ride we met our guide Gailey who guided us up the peak. It was a challenging hike/climb so you definitely need a guide your first time out. (There is a water fall... More

It is amazing to walk through the forest that has grown up over the last fifty to seventy years. The walk is challenging enough to enjoy.

Lucked out today. Following several dry days no rain and no cloud at the top! Clear views of Antigua, Redonda, Monserrat and Guadaloupe!! Tough hike with some climbing up tree routes in places with the aid of rope. We went with a guide, Nichael and was worth the cost. Enjoyed it but take plenty water!

My girlfriend and I decided to do this hike during an afternoon visit to Nevis whilst working aboard a cruise ship. We had made several calls to this port previously and had decided it was time we venture up the infamous peak of Nevis. The hike itself was enjoyable, however if you are looking for a scenic mountain hike this... More

My wife and I did this climb a couple days after a large rainstorm which lasted the better part of a day. It was a very muddy climb but I would always expect it to be that way. We did it without a guide much to the chagrin of our hotel but we have experience doing rough hikes at home.... More

I loved climbing this mountain because its just perfect for getting exercise . But you have to be prepared so bring water , hats , extra sunscreen and a guide and you will be prepared for anything! And remember that when you get to the top it will be so rewarding!

Baba & Nichael were our guides. Meet at the Gingerland police station... Quite a rough road to the high point of the car track. Hot and humid in the forest, plus occasional rain. It would be very tricky to keep to the route without a guide and some significant drop offs through the undergrowth. Many, many fixed ropes which were... More
