if you are looking for a reliable place to sit and contemplate history, access wifi or a computer on the net...the library in downtown Charlestown is the place to go..upstairs in the courthouse, its a small oasis in a busy town...the staff are always smiling and you might be lucky as I was on one occasion to experience a local... We decided to go into town and look around. It's amazing what the cab drivers know about their beautiful island. Of course it's part of their job but they take great pride in the history of NEvis. I'm sure they depend on the visitors for money to help them but this really has a good and well laid out history... More

Really not worth the time! Outside looks better than inside, and you may be disappointed, after you find a place to park.

A well laid out museum that summarised the history of the island. An interesting hour can be spent here

A good example of original Caribbean building made of cut stone. The library upstairs is small and pretty basic. There is a selection of fiction and an interesting local Caribbean section, but there is a need for new book stock. The large open windows provide a good and airy view over the square. The is also internet access via a... More

This is a great chance to see historical downtown Charlestown little changed from the days of Lord Admiral Nelson. While it may seem small and crowded in the square outside, enjoy looking at the beautiful buildings and imaging how important this small set of administrative offices was in the heyday of the sugar cane trade when Nevis provided much of... This is one of a few old cut stone buildings still left fairly intact in the center of Charlestown. The upstairs houses the Charlestown Library-take a walk up and look down over the small square below. The Courthouse can be pretty colorful when Court is in session, not certain if the Judges and Barristers are still wearing powdered wigs but... More
