It did a tour of the gardens. I had initially asked not to have a guide but one tagged along and I'm glad he did. So informative and showed us a lot of plants we would have missed otherwise.

This is the oldest gardens in the western hemisphere! It is a scenic, well kept garden with a wonderful history. Lovely place to picnic, stroll or just enjoy nature.

Elroy was our guide and what a great job, lots of interesting information from a very knowledgeable man, worth a trip to kill a few hours from the sun tan. Beautiful gardens and most enjoyable

Friendly, easy and very rewarding. Guides are good but not mandatory if you are into photography or birding. Go early as the midday is humid

The gardens are laid out on a hillside so any visit will require some uphill walking mostly on well defined paths. Transport by taxi to the entrance and exits is easy but we entered at the lower end of the gardens and left... More

We walked there but it is not a short walk and from the ferry port to he botanical gardens this is steeply up hill and so not easy if you are not used to walking.
