The museum is small. There really isn't a lot there. If you go in, look around and leave, you could spend 5 minutes and wonder why anyone would rate it excellent. I'm rating it excellent because of the lovely lady working there when we visited. Celeste is the daughter of the local artist, Canute Caliste, to which a lot of... More

Opened late (island time!) so had to wait to get in. The woman running the space is the daughter of the local artist, musician, and boat builder showcased upstairs in the tiny gallery. There are a lot of Amerindian artifacts found from all over the island. This museum desperately needs funding and the artifacts really should be preserved properly!

A must visit, to understand Carriacou and Carriacouans. Artifacts from the indigenous people to the current residents.

I was fascinated with the collection of ancient ceramics and small sculptures, which had been dug up from a local site on the leaward side of the Island. The fact that we were allowed to handle some pieces was such a treat. Most ancient artifacts are safely tucked behind glass. The museum is small and not very well lit but... More

This museum is small and had some interesting AmerIndian pottery and other artifacts which have been found during digs on Carriacou. It costs 5 EC per adult. The museum also has some good souvenirs to purchase.

This is a tiny little museum by museum standards but well worth a visit. I am interested in pottery so I was fascinated by the pottery pieces and other relics. You can handle a few pieces which was brilliant. I would of liked a catalogue or even a postcard as a souvieneer as sadly you cannot take a photo inside,... More

Small, yes, but packed with excellent artifacts and information! And be sure to buy a copy of the local cookbook while you are there. And a t-shirt. Please tell Clemsia that Angel sent you?!
