A proper horse shoe beach just like you imagine

Surrounded by palm tress, its just lovely. A bit of a trek to get to but if you make the effort you may find you are the only tourist on the beach

We drove our hire car to Englishmans Bay and spent half a day here. We were slightly concerned by the prior online advice not to go here alone etc. What a miss it would have been if we had heeded that advice. There is a cafe, craft shop and some very basic toilets here. The crafts are lovely and a... More

Englishmans bay is a beautiful beach with breathtaking scenery. The waves are often too big and the undercurrent too strong to go swimming, especially when with children. Still, the beach is worthy of a visit, if only to see the beach, nature and taste the grilled fish for lunch.

Really beautiful crescent shaped bay. The beach here is sandy and close to the water it's tiny pebbles. I loved this bay. It's just off the Northside road. This bay in books is described as remote etc, but there were quite a few tourists. The beauty of the beach is added onto by the pristine vegetation that's almost encroaching the... More

Sooo great, although the waves were too high for us to go swimming. We had a nice shady spot and had a picnic with the fam. We walked down the whole beach and found a spot with a whole bunch of crabs. Very cool place, although they say that it's a bit dangerous for tourists to go because there are... More

Englishman’s Bay is across the other side of the island from Scarborough and then directly north from Plymouth. It is in between Castara and Parlatuvier. The beach itself is a classic crescent shape, and begins right at the edge of the forest. It is a beautiful setting just off the main road a few minutes down a dirt track. It... More

An amazing unspoilt bay , with the rainforest coming down to the water's edge. When we were there, there was only 1 other couple on the beach so all you could hear was the waves crashing on the beach and the birds in the trees. Plenty of cover from the hot sun. The only disappointment was the strong undertow which... More

Most amazing beach on the Island of Tobago!! Chairs can be rented for 20TT$ a day. Small restaurant serving drinks and food. Plenty of shadow from the trees. At times pretty high waves but still no problem to swim!

The perfect horseshoe shaped beach with golden sands, palm trees and a small yet good restaurant. This is why you go on holiday to the Caribbean ! We got there about 1000 and there were only 3 other people on the beach until about 1200. No tourist paraphernalia, no crowds, no noise. May get busy when cruise ships are in... More

Gorgeous unspoilt beach. Sun loungers to hire. Eula's restaurant serves delicious local food at reasonable prices.
