We picked up one of the local Taxis / Vans at or just outside the gates and he offered a tour of the Island for 15$ US per head for 3 of us. It covered all round the Island for one and three quarter hours and was superb. The driver had micropone round his neck and delivered a grat narration... More

We visited in November 2016. My personal opinion: best use of your time is to just chill out in the vicinity of the cruise ship pier. All you need here is very close and easy to get to. A clean, well-maintained pier, welcome area and shops that cater to the cruise passengers. Margaritaville. A large swimming pool. Hundreds of beach... More

We visited during our cruise and took tour of island. It has lots of history and view of the ocean in some spots are amazing. Some areas are run down but that's expected in the Caribbean. Felt safe where ever we went. Unfortunately I couldn't snorkel due to water being to choppy. I've heard it's one of best islands in... More

I travelled here when I was working on the cruise ships. The town is beautiful and there was always something to do. the beaches there are amazing, it is very peaceful and the people there are very kind and down to earth.

The Guide Books and the Cruise Ship info rate Cockburn Town "must see". My wife and I spent the $6 per person for a cab to town, but were extremely disappointed with the "colonial architecture" that was advertised. The colonial structures were pretty much crumbling, and the streets were inhabited with stray dogs. The locals, on the other hand were... More

We took a taxi from the cruise port into Cockburn. The taxi vans are right in the cruise port parking lot and drop you off at a central location in the old part of Cockburn. 1st thing we did was grab a cold one for a reasonable price. Turks Head is a local brew and tasted so good on a... More

I have to say I'm genuinely surprised by some of the negative comments I read that others left regarding this island. I read them and am shocked how lazy Americans have become expect to be wowed and entertained without leaving their barcalounger. The fun and amazement is there but you have to get off your butt to go find it.... More

I have visited Cockburn Town while cruising. We have booked an island excursion to see 10 most interesting on the island, and to be honest I was not impressed with any of the places. The most impressive things we have been were donkeys that are walking everywhere on the island. Very cure :) I must say if you are to... More

This place was far from the docks, other side of the island, we rented a moped and drove as adventure, nothing to see there just the light house, some small souvenir shop and some wild donkeys trying to kick you, spend time on the beach its better.
