We decided to go beyond the comfort of Grace Bay. You definitely need a car (recommend renting one). Finding a good spot to see the coastline might be a challenge as majority of the private homes have blocked access to the beach or coastline. However, I think it's worth the trip if you exercise a bit of patience

I don't have much to say other than to just go, we stayed in a villa in Chalk Sound area and got to drive by it daily (on top of visiting it at Las Brisas twice) and the views blew me away every time. Truly breathtaking and mind blowingly gorgeous.

We rented a car for a few days, and drove down to Chalk Sound. It almost looked surreal, or something from a different world, no kidding. The colors of water were amazing...this was one of the most beautiful places I've seen. While we were in that area, we also spent time at Sapodilla Bay, and had a great meal at... More

You have to explore and find this place. The water looks like something out of a dream and it's beautiful. I don't think you're allowed to swim in it, but I may be wrong.

Needless to say everyone who visits Providenciales is fully aware of the awesomeness of Grace Bay. Unbelievably most somehow miss the "world treasure", Chalk Sound. My wife and I have traveled all over the world and our top three bodies of water with the most exceptional colour are Lake Louise (Alberta, Canada), Lake McKenzie (Fraser Island, Australia) and Chalk Sound.... We stayed at a house on the sound and the kayaking and views were amazing. I would never want to stay anywhere else on the island as this areas beauty is incredible.

We went to the Las Brisas resort planning on renting some paddle boards/kuyaks. Instead we opted for their 2 hour pontoon boat cruise. $70 a person x 4 but we had a good time as we were the only ones on the boat. If your looking for a different type of activity, I recommend this tour. Rachel from Las Brisas... More

This sound has water that looks almost fluorescent blue. One good way to enjoy a brief visit to the sound is to stop at Las Brisas restaurant and have lunch on the terrace. Great food and a beautiful view of the Sound.

A real estate agent was showing us property on the island and the third property was overlooking Chalk Sound. We had no idea why the property was listed at a higher price than comparable homes until we looked out of the three sliding glass doors and saw the magnificent colors of Chalk Sound. The brilliant turquoise of various hues dotted... More

We rented kayaks at Las Brisas & paddled around Chalk sound! Such beautiful water & so nice to look at all the beautiful homes overlooking the sound. It was a great afternoon! Had an amazing lunch at Las Brisas after!
