A rather long course that gave you a challenge. No help with layout from score card or maps at tee. Rather hilly, distance between holes and cart is recommended. Greens were in good shape, tees were OK and the bunkers had rakes. One can wonder why as there were no visible maintenance of the bunkers filled with gras.

We live on island and have recently gotten back into playing golf. We have been to each of the 3 courses on St. Croix. When you first drive up you get the impression that this is going to be a very nice course, however the only holes that seemed to be properly maintained are near the entrance and at the... More

Excellent little place to order food and bring back to the Renaissance Hotel in Carambola. The chef has daily specials and my husband had a shrimp and pasta which was delicious. The special sandwich of the day was beef and my husband told the chef we don't eat beef so he made a delicious chicken sandwich on an incredible soft... More

The layout of the course is nice but the place is run down and sad shape. The fairways and greens were ok but the bunkers haven't been raked in years and many of the bunkers as others have said have been let go so that grass is filling them in or they are a mix of sand, rocks and grass. For... More

My husband is writing this review as I am not a golfer. He and his friend, both of us own homes in St. Croix, and have been "locals" for 30 years played there yesterday. Unlike the Buccaneer, Carambola requires a drivers license in order to prove that you are a true Crucian and get the $40 discount. This is absurd... More

The course has a nice layout and was in good condition. Not very busy. Played the first few holes alone until I caught up with a twosome.

I had a wonderful experience at Carambola Golf Club. When I arrived the golf shop staff was very friendly. It was a Wednesday and the course was not very busy so we were never pushed and we never had to wait. The course was in much better shape than I had anticipated after reading a lot of the reviews but... More

Fantastic Robert Trent Jones layout, Usually needs a littleTLC Starter Johnny is the best and Tyrone is a great bartender, did not make it there this year but have been going there for at least the last 20 years - miss it!

Serious maintenance deficiencies. While an exceptional design, traps are dirt, fairways are anything but, greens are rock hard, as is the range. An extremely perfect RTJ work of art has faded into obscurity. Don't bother.
