We stopped in Christiansted for an hour of shopping while on a tour. It is pretty and quaint. We enjoyed strolling down by the water. We stopped for some ice cream. We finally found a gift shop and I bought a beautiful hook bracelet made by a local artisan. Everyone was very friendly and no one hassled us to buy... More

One of the highlights of our trip was when we stopped in at Chaney Chicks and spoke to Gretchen, one of the owners. Gretchen shared her knowledge and passion and pointed us to the right beach to find our own sea glass. After spending a lovely morning sea glass "fishing", we returned to Chaney Chicks and met Denise, the other... More

Not a big town, and not a lot of shopping, but there are definitely neat things to check out and just enjoy a stroll through the historical village and market. The "St. Croix Yellow" is most prevalent in the town of Christiansted. If nothing else, go and breathe in the yellow, a hue which you will never forget and from... More

Spent an hour in Christiansted while on a tour of St. Croix. There wasn't a lot to see, but it was very peaceful and relaxing. While walking around, there was a substantial downpour, so we stopped into a local shop to wait it out. There was no hassle to buy anything, in fact we talked more about the jazz cruise... More

We wandered around Christiansted and it has changed a lot in 20 years. Last time we were there it was still suffering from Hurricane Hugo and a lot of damage. There are a lot of cute rebuilt shops with local crafts and art work. The buildings are brightly colored. Shops close early @ 5pm but are worth time to explore.... More

My wife and I saw Zimmern say this was the best roti in town so we had to find out for ourselves. TRUE STORY!! This was one of the best things we've eaten in our entire lives! You have to go with the conch...so fresh and huge! If you've ever had conch fritters elsewhere you'll actually get to see the... More

Angie's candle and scented oil booth was great to pick up a few relaxing essentials. There's limited shopping here with the only souvenirs being very touristy and commonly available everywhere. There were only three booths open even though a ship was in harbour. The museum though was worth browsing through with unique hand blown glass pieces and island pottery.

We were surprised how little was open. We did a little shopping but would have done more if additional shops were open. We realize it was not the height of tourism season but still thought more would be open. We enjoyed walking the boardwalk. We also enjoyed seeing the old buildings which reminded us somewhat of the French Quarter in... More

Arriving at Christiansted after some 40 minutes of dull, quite boring drive, to be honest, the first impression of Christiansted, is very promising. It looks so much nicer than everything you see on the way coming from Frederiksted. We came with a shuttle on the 'fast' way. Probably the right way is to come via scenic road of the Rain... More
