My daughter and I did the nighttime kayak tour thru Caribbean Adventures. The two young women that were our guides were very friendly, helpful, polite, and informative. We had a great time! The bay was so beautiful in the moonlight and it was just dark...More

We were greeted by a friendly & knowledgeable docent. He guided us through rooms with local artifacts. It was nice to see the history of the island. Views over Salt Bay and out to Buck Island are memorable.

Nothing great about this place, but the view and few artifacts were neat to see. Has a long way to go on the national park side of things, limited hours and things already look tired.

We kayaked through Salt River Bay with BushTribe, and Chris was able to provide a lot of the historical significance of the area as well as a nice view of the flora and fauna in the area. It's well worth it to see the mangroves...More

This is supposed to be a national park? The only place in the United States where Christopher Columbus actually landed? The beach was trashed, there was not even a monument much less any interpretive information. If you like seeing piles of garbage bags and esed...More

The bay is beautiful, especially at night. My wife and I did the kayak tour of the bioluminescent bay. It is one of only 7 such locations in the entire world, and we could not pass up a chance to see it. We were not...More

The title is true and unfortunate. There are several "new" shipwrecks in the bay which now add to the ecosystem. It's just too bad to see masts just sticking up out of the water. On a positive note freaking Chris Columbus was here in 1493....More

Salt River Bay National Historical Park is a must visit if you are on the island of St. Croix and have a sense of history. Take the time to stand on the shores of Salt River Bay where Christopher Columbus landed in 1493.

We stumbled onto this park by accident! The signage and road into this park might make you think you are not going the right way, but once you get to the top, the park is great. It is a small park, but has what you...More

Although the website doesn't say it, they are open full time, but with volunteers. The visitor's center is a former "mansion" for a local doctor. Worth a visit. Also a nice beach at the Columbus landing site. Not much of the... More
