It was fun to board and help the crew hoist the sails on this old fishing schooner. It was a beautiful sunset, smooth water, and just to walk around and experience the old boat gave one the feeling of how people fall in love with sailing and prefer that over loud motor boats. The crew were accommodating and fun. It... More

What a wonderful time we had on the Roseway! The crew and Captain were very knowledgeable about this ship and her history. There's nothing like watching the sunset while sailing on the water. You even were allowed to help raise the sails at the beginning of the trip. This ship is also an educational source for schoolchildren to learn about... More

Education at sea...take a sail on this beautiful old sailboat and enjoy the sunset. Keep in mind that you can only enjoy the alcoholic refreshments AFTER you help the crew hoist the sails. Be sure and tip the crew after and thank them for all the fun.

We did the sunset cruise last night and had a great time. The ship is used for sailing experiences for underserved children and spends about 3 months on St. Croix and St. Thomas, then goes to Boston to provide the same opportunities there from March through June. If you have a chance, do take advantage of this. The staff is... More

Great experience on a sailing schooner rarely found. Kids and adults will enjoy. Boat access by traditional plank must be improved. Great friendly crew, price is right, a real treasure.

Went sailing on Roadway's second to last night of their St Croix season , and had a blast. The boat is an amazing upwind sailor and couldn't believe how fast we flew on such a large boat. Would love to be on it in some heavy wind, would be spectacular. It's fun to help the crew hoist the sails, and... More

We did the sunset cruise on the Roseway...having wanted to do it for a couple of years. A wonderful experience to be on an old sailing vessel looking back at St.Croix island...truly taking you back in time to how Christiansted harbor may have looked to the early merchants coming in on a similar ship. You also have the unique opportunity... More

The Roseway is a beautiful ship and this could be a great sailing experience if they could get their act together. I could not believe how many people they packed onto the boat, and since they don't allow you to go forward of the mast, there was really not enough space for the passengers. It was so crowded that there... More

You'll enjoy the history, crew and history associated with the Roseway. Don't miss this chance to sail on one of the classic wooden boats of the its time.
