Look for the Royal Dane Mall in central Charlotte Amalie. It is a maze of beautiful alleys, and finding this shop was a real treat. Tropical Creations features locally-made crafts. (This is to be compared to the junk made in China that is for offer in so many of the other shops in Charlotte Amalie.) So have a look for... More

Tulip Fleming is an extraordinary artist. Many of the things in her shop she has made. In addition there are other items of equal quality and creativity. One could spend an hour just looking at and learning about what she has for sale; where it came from and how it was made. Despite having been recognized for her efforts and... More

Found this cute little place by accident and so glad we did! Everything there is locally made. Beautiful, handmade jewelry, scarves, island dresses, etc. It's down a little alley called the Royal Dane Mall. Definitely worth the visit!

My 2 friends and I stopped into Tropical Creations just because we were in the area. Turned out everything in the store is handmade! Really beautiful, intricate detailed pieces, from art, to clothing, to accessories. All kinds of handmade items. I bought a woven purse that was completely covered in evenly cut, dangling pieces of seashell. Just gorgeous and of... More

I was walking down the alley where this store is located and a dress in the doorway caught my eye. It was displayed with a beautiful necklace too. I started speaking with the owner, Tulip, and she let me know that she makes all the jewelry and vases by hand. It was such beautiful, unique stuff. I tried on the... More

This is my favorite shop in St. Thomas! This shop is an oasis in the hurly burly of commercial St. Thomas. I purchased a gorgeous handmade batik scarf and it is out of this world - at an extremely reasonable price. The very friendly and helpful owner has a very large selection of fashion, jewelry, decorative items and artwork. This... More

Ms Tulip was the absolute nicest person I've met on the island. She welcomed me into her shop and had a lengthy conversation about my life and what I'm doing on the island. I got a bar of handmade soap, and it was absolutely wonderful. I have been using it for washing my face, as I have very sensitive skin,... More

We were so tired of the same old same old jewelry, pseudo arts and crafts etc. when we came across this absolute gem! Unique, fresh, handmade arts and crafts, jewelry, treasures, soaps and more. The owner is amazing, friendly, beautiful and welcoming. So happy to have discovered this!

If you're tired of all the "fine" jewelry being shoved down your throat in Caribbean ports, you must visit this shop. It has one-of-a-kind pieces created by local artists at very reasonable prices. I wanted quality shell jewelry and I found exactly what I was looking for. The owner is a wonderful person to meet and deal with. I cannot... More
