A favorite of windsurfers, the beach has fine white sand and beautiful views of St. John and offshore cays, and offers excellent snorkeling at the reef to the east, near Pettyklip Point.

Perfect day! Plenty of shade when needed. Walk slightly off to the left for plenty of space. The snorkeling is phenomenal, but remember to be careful of the reef!

Beautiful Beach close to Sugar Bay Resort & Spa. Free to the public. Not crowded. Very peaceful! Pretty good waves.

We had a great corner unit on Sapphire Beach for five days in March 2017. The pool was in a nice location, but needs to be better maintained - this goes for the tennis courts too. The beach however was very beautiful and made for a nice walk each morning and night. The beach bar has a nice happy hour... More

I have to say I was a bit disappointed with this place this time around. They are really letting the place run down including the beach area. Dirty sand, chairs broken everywhere, pool area run down and dirty with dishes laying around. This was once our favorite resort and beach to visit, sadly not any more.

For St. Thomas, this is a pretty nice beach. Although I nicknamed it "chain smoker beach" within the first 10 minutes of being there & it lived up to that all week. Maybe it was the luck of the draw with who happened to be there that week but there were a lot of smokers. The beach is pretty and... More

Great Beach for a combination of lounging, food, drinks, swimming, and snorkeling... Lounge chairs can be rented, and they have servers walking through the people, offering drinks and food. Restrooms are also available...

Not much to say really. Nice water. Beach is a little narrow but many natural shades and quite sandy. It does have a belt with some shells and do have spots with rocks. You still get a decent size to swim around but it does get crowded very soon.

Sapphire beach is beautiful and the condo at sapphire beach resort is great for a clue or small family - they are basically studios so a large group might be cramped. Condo is clean and has everything you need for a beach vacation - and first floor is so convienent- just walk out the door and you are on the... More

Great views, great sand, nice people. The beach is smaller than we thought but was not crowded. If you want a long walk, be prepared to do a few laps!
