Well worth a visit. It only cost me £2 to visit the castle, very cheap by today's standards. Reading about the history of the place was very interesting and it took me a good 90 minutes to 2 hours to see everything in the exhibition. The grounds are beautiful and the staff helpful and friendly. There's a small Café which... More

The castle and history of Merthyr along with a walk around the museum is fascinating. Children can visit the aqua park. There is a small cafe inside the castle providing outdoor seating (weather permitting). Parking is... More

A lovely water pad and play area for all ages of children. Plenty of walks through the woods . We had a ride on the little railway and walked around the lake. No charge to park.

Great day out! The castle and history of Merthyr is fascinating and all attractions such as the massive park and splash pad are all free! I have just one issue and that is that the splash pad water isn't very clean so don't drink it but overall this is an amazing day out for the family!!

This castle is a must for visitors and locals. For people of merthyr it's a reminder of our routes. For visitors, it shows the importance of the industrial revolution Merthyr had. It's also good to understand exactly what and how Crawshay made his name, not necessarily for his treatment of his workers!
