Superb views await you at the end of this relatively short, but intense hike on Ram's Head. It was one of the favorite things we did during our vacation to St. John!

The hike to Rams Head starts at Salt Pond. The hike is not easy but not difficult, parts of the trail are rocky. The beginning can be warm but when you reach the top the sea breeze is outstanding. The vegitation is more arid with...More

This was an moderate hike with some really good views of salt pond bay and the surrounding islands. My wife and I did it in sandals and I would highly recommend some tennis shoes.

Early morning before the heat of the day. We hiked to the end and could look back at our rental house. It was like standing at the end of the world. Be sure to go to Drunk Bay also.

The views were beautiful. My only complaint is that at mid-day, this hike was exposed making it hot and tiring. It is a moderate hike, but the heat did give it a bit of a challenge. A portion of the trail is on a rocky...More
