We have been to St. John a couple of times and have visited many of the beaches. We like to stay in Coral Bay so Francis Bay is convenient. It is a breathtakingly beautiful beach with clean white sand and clear blue water. It doesn't seem to get as crowded as some of the other beaches. There are trees for... More

Francis is one of my favorite St. John beaches; usually not crowded and shady spots are available. Great snorkeling all along eastern edge; lots of turtles and rays.

Very beautiful beach. Came here to snorkel in early November. The visibility was TERRIBLE! We did see turtles and rays but didn't stay long. Free parking but it does get crowded.

On recent travel to St. Thomas, my wife and I decided to take a day trip to St. John. After inquiring at one of the downtown bars, we were told to head on out as far as we could go along the shoreline along the main road. We did exactly that and were handsomely rewarded: an absolutely picture-perfect view of... More

We took the ferry to St. Johns to visit the only US rain forest. We stumbled upon this gem and swam & snorkled for hours. we the warm, crystal clear water and abundant sea life kept all ages of family members engaged. Next time we visit the islands, St. Johns is our number one destination. We loved both the forest... More

Tranquile, warm and beautiful beach. You can see tons of marine life (baby sand sharks, carey, tons of different fishes). If you do a 5 minute hike you will find best views in the city.

I love this beach! It's a beautiful spot on St. John. My friend and I got there early, about 9:45am on a Saturday, and we had it all to ourselves for about an hour. This bay is similar to Maho, in that it stays relatively calm. The water is super clear, and you'll generally see fish, turtles, and rays. It... More

Francis is probably my favorite beach, for relaxation, on that side of the island. The water is calm and clear, and it's usually not crowded.
