After reading reviews and talking to a St. Thomas resident, it was suggested that we visit this beach. We went on a two cruise ship day and heard that Trunk Beach was packed. We also did not want to pay cab fare and were told we could access Salomon on foot from Cruz Bay. After getting off the ferry, we... More

It was our first time going to St. John and we hiked to Salomon Beach. So very very beautiful. We worked up quite a sweat getting down to the beach that the water felt a bit cold at first but once you get in, it's the best temperature ever. Please go and experience it for yourselves. You won't be disappointed.

it depends on the day...the kind of experience you get at Salomon. You might just be the only person there for 8 hours. You might also be crammed in with 30 other sunseekers on a beach that's barely 100 yards long. Snorkeling is good here, especially on the right end of the beach. The Reef near the rocks doesn't look... More

Similar beach to Honeymoon, separated by rocks and a Park Ranger house. Must hike or boat to this beach. Often referred to as the 'nude' beach but nudity is prohibited by law. Good snorkeling to the far left or right. A bit of a step to get in to the water.

If you want to escape the crowds and are up for a little bit of a hike, this is the place for you. You can reach this remote locale one of two ways. Hike up the Lind Point Trail from the National Park Service Visitors Center (the stairs up are right behind it) or hike down from Caneel Bay past... More

We parked at the National Park Visitor Center and got a free parking pass and headed to Salomon Beach. There are 12 parking spaces that are set aside for this purpose. The stairs to the Lind Trail are right behind you and the path well marked. We headed out, and while we were fine, we were surprised at the length... More

Salomon and Honeymoon are right next to each other and both are lovely. We snorkeled from one to the other and hung out on each! The views are gorgeous, sand is white and soft, and the snorkeling is good between the two. Avoid middle of the day when the cruise ships bring tours over in boats unless it is a... More

Visited here from a cruise ship-we docked at St Thomas and found out 5 other ships were also going to be there, so thought we should go to St John to get away from the crowds-glad we did! We are more of an adventurous fam, so did some research and found this beach. We are not touristy and wanted a... More
