Description:

Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas is Nassau's leading full service dive centre....

Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas is Nassau's leading full service dive centre. Originally opened in 1979, the operation has grown to a fleet of nine dive vessels, with five of the boats over 40 feet in length. Located on the Southwest side of Nassau/New Providence Island, Stuart Cove's is in the ideal location to take advantage of the most diverse diving the Bahamas has to offer. Walls, reefs, wrecks and sharks! There something for everyone from beginner divers to experts. Holiday travelers who have never been diving before will enjoy the 3-hour "Learn To Dive Program". In this program guests will be introduced to the equipment used in the sport of diving in a swimming pool, receive an introduction into the basics of diving, and then complete their first ocean dive. All of this takes place under the supervision of a professional dive instructor. 2-tank dive trips are offered both moring and afternoon with 2-tank Shark dives offered every afternoon. Night dives are available on selected evenings with a minimum of 6 guests. Dive sites encompass steep vertical walls that plummet to 6,000 feet of depth, shallow tropical reefs, 13 different locations containing ship or airplane wrecks, and numerous locations that were used as underwater movie sets for feature films. The feature activities at Stuart Cove's for our divers is our "Extreme Shark Adventure". The Shark Adventure program is a 2-tank dive trip that takes divers on an underwater encounter with Caribbean Reef Sharks. On the first dive divers participate in a "free swim" with the sharks along a beautiful wall. On the second dive, the group forms a semi-circle on the 40-foot bottom and watch while a professional shark feeder enters the water with a box of bait. Upon reaching the bottom, the feeder begins feeding the sharks with the aid of a pole spear. To say the sharks come close to the divers is an understatement - they are everywhere! However, Stuart Cove's is not exclusively about diving. It's about sharing the underwater world with as many people as possible. Have a non-diving buddy? We have snorkel dedicated trips that take guests to a variety of shallow reef sites and even visits the sharks weather permitting. Want something more exciting? How about our personal submarines? SUB Bahamas takes adventurers on a trip around a shallow reef and allows them to snorkel as well on a custom boat.

We just got back from a Bahamas cruise and this was by far my favourite excursion. My husband I are certified divers, but haven't had any recent experience, so we tried snuba this time. We went to 3 different sites, including the shark feeding site. It was amazing. It's very similar to diving, except your tank is on the surface... More

I just completed 6 dives with Stuart Cove, ending with their shark feeding dive. The Bahamas is a great place to dive and you couldn't pick a better operator. Their staff is friendly and experienced with all levels of divers. The Tongue of the Atlantic starts less than a mile from the dive shop and drops to 6000ft. The wall... More

I had a wonderful experience. I am afraid of fish and the ocean to begin with and getting in the water was overwhelmingly scary at first. Then one of the guides named Korime helped me get in the water and taught me how do snorkel. It was such a fun experience but would not have been the same without the... More

We dove 4 times with SCDB. One day was a two tank PM dive and the other was the shark dive. The two tank dive was nothing special. We didn't see a ton of fish. It was still decent though. The shark dive on the other hand was AMAZING. This is the closest you will ever come to sharks. There... More

Hayley Jo and her team of dive leaders and instructors are phenomenal. Everyone from the desk/registration staff to the boat and dive staff is very helpful and professional and a lot of fun. Did two dives with them including the Shark Arena dive. Fantastic experience and will definitely be back!

This was an added adventure to an already list of firsts. First cruise and first trip out of the country! My girlfriend and I looked over several "Things-to-do" on Trip Advisor for our stop in Nassau and ultimately settled on Stuart Cove's snorkel excursion. As someone who has never learned to swim, I was a bit apprehensive about the whole... More

I did my first diving with Stuart Cove during Christmas cruise to Bahamas. They were very accommodating and considerate to keep my boyfriend (already certified) and I (first timer) together as much as possible. While others went on the first time, Daniel gave me an one-on-one lesson and got me through the initial anxiety. He was very knowledgeable and encouraging,... More

We stopped in the Nassau on our cruise ship and booked a snorkeling tour here. Would definitely do it again. The shuttle picks you up right from the ship and brings you back. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. We went with Kareem, Wendell, and Anwar and they were excellent. There were 2 small children on our... More

Stuart Coves was the dive shop we went through with our cruise line. I enjoyed a few things about their operation. We had a very small group, only 4 paying divers, even though it seemed they could have grouped us up with others. This was definitely ok! The crew asked our group what we wanted to dive, followed with options.... More
