Cool Visit

Interesting place to see. The entrance fee to Fort Fincastle at the top is very reasonable. Worth at least seeing once. Quick and easy walk from the cruise ship pier.

Worth a visit to the Queens staircase whilst walking round Nassau, leads to Fort Fincastle. Easy walk from cruise port.

We went here while we were visiting downtown, it is a short walk from the center of town (10 mins slightly uphill). The steps are really cool as everything is carved right out of the rock - after running the steps and taking some photos we went over to Fort Fincastle where you can see some great views of Nassau!

We walked here from our hotel (the Hilton) and it was okay...took us about 30 minutes. Gorgeous canyon that's worth seeing, and the fort at the top of the hill is great too. Worth an hour or so's visit, for sure.

An impressive amount of rock carving, and a nice place for pictures that are unique to the Bahamas. Unfortunately, like much of Nassau, it is not well maintained. I am sure when these stairs were built for the Queen, it was beautiful. It appears that many places were carved in the rock walls to hold flowers. These places are barren... More

These stairs are a short walk from cruise ship. The rocks are cut beautifully. A small water falls comes out of rock. I was told there is 66 steps. This is free to visit. Fin castle and the water tower are near by. The beach with blue blue water and the staircase was the only sight I saw is worth... More

Nice seeing some history of the island. Highly recommend seeing this as it was carved out by hand. Interesting piece of history

We decided to talk a walk from downtown Nassau to see this. It was quite the walk. It is quite amazing how this staircase was cut out from the rock, but the waterfall was not running. It would of been much more beautiful if it were. Nonetheless, it is an interesting piece of history. Very quick visit.

It was pretty neat. We got off our ship and walked straight down east street to the Queens Staircase. Its beautiful but the story is sad. There was a man waiting at the entrance. He stopped us and told us the story behind it. It was very informative but he does expect a tip after telling you. If you dont... More
