We enjoyed a few hours on the beach laying out in the sun. Wow, we were definatly sun kissed and blushing bright red after an hour and a half this after appling a good sunscreen. You'll need to wear sunscreen if you plan to enjoy...More

Amazing clear beach in Nassau. PROS: The options are very affordable compared to the excursions offered by the cruise line. The banana boat and jet ski was fun and the umbrella and lounge chairs are essential. There were reviews about vendors but it didn't annoy...More

This beach is amazing !! You definitely need to go in the morning before all the cruise arrive, it's much more enjoyable, I didn't see any "rough locals" like people say. Maybe it's on different days. But as you can see this place is just...More

We arrived on a Norwegian cruise ship and paid $4 a person to take a taxi to Cabbage Beach. It was about a 15 minute ride in  hot taxi.  When we arrived at the beach we were greeted by the beach employees, they were very...More

Clean sand, not crowded at all imo (although we're both New Yorkers and thus have weathered elbow-to-elbow-to-cigarette-to-beer-bottle crowds at Rockaway etc), lovely clean water and--again, anecdotally--very calm surf. There was a crazy undertow the second day we spent on this beach, but never any real...More

Amazing beach, but don't go in the water. Very strong riptides! It is a nice beach to walk on, peaceful and great for a quiet escape. Nice small parking area with a little general store.

Besides the ubiquitous pan-handlers selling beach chairs, cigars, drinks and alcohol, the beach itself is gorgeous. The waves are great but not overly powerful. Pretty clean for the amount of people there. And did I mention its free, unlike Atlantis beach, which is just a...More

No it's public beach. There will be locals there trying to rent you chairs sell drinks etc. But you can go down to a hotels beach and order drinks of the beach wait staff. They will serve you for cash.
How close is it to Atlantis? Can you rent jet-skis? Parasail?
