The museum is small but has a lot of local art. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Great break from the downtown shopping scene.

Gem of a museum, exploring themes unique to the Bahamian people. Very well-documented. Also nice gift shop, includes many locally-made items.

Be sure to take the bus for a "locals experience." Only $1. Museum had lovely Bahamian art and several other exhibits. It's a nice walk around downtown to get to the museum.

You must see this! The building itself and the art collection inside are worth visiting. Permanent exhibits are supplemented by featured local works.

I've walked there each time I've been at port. It is uphill so it's a little strenuous but walking up the street is an adventure in itself. It is also within walking distance of Graycliff Chocolate Factory and Watling's Rum... More
