Amazing local food

Our resort provided a fish fry that was basically all of the normal dinner foods, but put outside and with fried fish added. There was a nice set up of tables out. The food just... read more

Overall We enjoyed a night of music, drinks and fresh seafood. We settled on the bar/restaurant on the beach. There were many locals there and the lines were incredibly long. We were previously told that the food would cost $8-$12 per plate but it ended up was a little more. We ordered lobster and shrimp and had to leave the... More

Our resort provided a fish fry that was basically all of the normal dinner foods, but put outside and with fried fish added. There was a nice set up of tables out. The food just did not look appetizing. Instead, we went to the local Fish Fry at Smith's Point. It was a great taste of culture and the food... More

Went to the fish fry to eat fish, but line was so long. Just walk down the road there are other places to eat also. We stopped at the very last one, had excellent ribs, the have this rice(brown w/ pigeon peas in it, that's what they call it. Excellent and wonderful coconut bread

This place is great, we spent the whole day there. Great service with cheap drinks and the water was perfect. The location is amazing and if you walk around the bend about 3kms there's a secluded beach that is absolutely immaculate.

This is, by far, THE thing to do on a Wednesday on Grand Bahama Island!! The authentic island food, atmosphere, and culture MUST be experienced...it can not be described! By island standards the cost is very reasonable...under $40 for 2. Just like most things on the island, give yourself plenty of time and don't expect fast service...get on island time... More

Our taxi driver Tyrone recommended we come to the "Fish Fry". I'm glad we did we had a great time! We had some good food, spicy Mac and Cheese, beware... Lol We met some very cool people and got in a little dancing. If you visit, it's best to work on the buddy system. One person hold the table and... More

This was a recommended activity for our group at a resort. We arrived early at 545p and there already was a line at Outrigger's which did not open for another 30 minutes. After waiting at Outriggers, the food was just okay; some others had gone over to Penny's and reported the food there was good, cheaper and no waiting. The... More

Don't expect luxury. This is the real Caribbean experience. Hope you don't come all the way to this place to order ribs or chicken. You gotta have the fresh fried fish. There is a line. Try to arrive Before 6pm. Drinks are $4 or $5. Wait for the music and dance like crazy. Nobody cares if you are good at... More

This was a last minute decision and we are so glad we went. It is located on Taino Beach at the end of the road. There is a live DJ and it is fun for the whole family. It is on Wednesday and Saturday nights. I recommend Wednesday for those looking for a party. They have food other than fish,... More

A must do! Great atmosphere, music, drinks on the beach. Don't be in a hurry and enjoy the ride. We got the fish and rib dinners, very good.
